STUDY TOURS
At the Tara Japan we specialize in introducing discriminating foreign guests to the essence of traditional Japanese culture. Our primary medium for doing this is our recently inaugurated, thematically structured Study Tour program. Each of our custom Study Tours is carefully planned for visitors who want to divert from the beaten tourist path for an intimate, esthetically gratifying experience of that which is quintessentially Japanese.
We have organized our Study Tour program around several general "themes," some of which are as inclusive as "Japanese culture" and others as specific as "Japanese Buddhism."
Tara's philosophy is to share with our guests from abroad as much of Japan's rich and varied culture as the time for any particular tour permits. While our tours certainly do not neglect Japan's spectacular scenic beauty, our overriding objective is to reveal to our visitors Japan's cultural soul.
